We encourage you to care and maintain your instrument as you would any delicate fine instrument. Please consult our Care & Maintenance Tips for further details.
Heinrich Gill will cover all defects in workmanship and materials from the date of purchase to the original owner. Warranty does not include parts subject to normal wear and tear such as the strings, bridge, fingerboard, or pegs. Scratches or damage to the instrument finish are considered part of normal wear and are not covered. The Warranty does not cover damage or loss caused by improper treatment, accident, solvents, product modification, or repairs. We will repair or replace at our discretion any instrument or part thereof which is found by us to be defective under the terms of the Warranty.
A special subject are cracks due to dryness. A crack that appears due to dryness can usually be identified pretty easy: there is a visible gap and no sign of external damage. A crack due dry dryness can – if stored correctly (please see Care & Maintenance) – usually only happen in the first year of use. Within this period the instrument goes through all common temperature and humidity stages.
Please pay special attention to the storage conditions in winter!!! The humidity in the case or the storage room may not fall below 50%!!! If this may happen, please use a humidifier!!!!!!
